On September 24, 1941, Birla Cotsyn (India) Ltd was established under the name and trade dress of Jamod Ginning Company Private Ltd. converted to Birla Agro Private Ltd on October 8, 1998, and then to Birla Cotsyn (India) Private Ltd on December 9, 2005. On May 30, 2006, the business became a public limited company and adopted the name Birla Cotsyn (India) Limited.
The Yash Birla Group, one of the biggest industrial conglomerates in India, launched its flagship company, Birla Cotsyn, in 1932. The sprawling complex is situated in the industrial district of Central India's Khamgaon (M.S). At Khamgaon, Birla Cotsyn (India) has a manufacturing plant for synthetic blended ring spun yarn equipped with cutting-edge machinery.
