ESL, an Integrated Steel Producer, was established in 2006 as a Public Limited Company with headquarters in Bokaro, Jharkhand, India. Vedanta Limited acquired management control of ESL in June 2018 through the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process, which was initiated to address the resolution of non-performing assets in the Indian banking system. The company has built a new greenfield integrated manufacturing facility with a capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per year. The facility primarily consists of Sinter Plants, Coke Oven, Blast Furnaces, Oxygen Plant, Basic Oxygen Furnaces, Billet Caster, Wire Rod Mill, Bar Mill, Ductile Iron Pipes Plant and a Power Plant are the main components of the facility. The company’s portfolio of products includes Pig Iron, Billets, TMT Bars, Wire Rods and Ductile Iron Pipes. The company recently rebranded its product line in the market under three new brands: V-DUCPIPE for Ductile Iron Pipes, V-XEGA for TMT Bars, and V-WIRRO for Wire Rods.
